Sportswear Plus ("we," "us," "our") operates The Read, a self-serve brand diagnostic tool, and this website. We are based in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What We Collect
Information you provide. When you use The Read, we collect the answers you enter into the diagnostic, which may include details about your business, brand, and marketing. Providing your email address is optional. If you choose to share it, we collect your email and name if provided.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we may collect basic technical information such as browser type, device type, pages visited, and general usage patterns through cookies or similar analytics tools. This helps us understand how the tool is used and improve it. We do not use this information to identify you personally.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Generate your diagnostic results
- Improve The Read and our services
- Contact you about your results or related Sportswear Plus services, only if you provided your email and consented to be contacted
- Understand aggregate usage of the tool
We do not sell your personal information. Ever.
AI Processing
The Read uses artificial intelligence to analyze your responses and generate results. Your diagnostic answers are processed by Anthropic's Claude API to produce your assessment. Anthropic processes this data as a service provider and does not use it to train its models. Do not enter sensitive personal information (such as health, financial, or identity details) into the diagnostic. The tool is designed for business and brand information only.
Where Your Information Is Stored
Your information is stored securely using Supabase, our database provider. Data may be stored on servers located outside of Canada, including in the United States. By using The Read, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and stored in jurisdictions with different privacy laws than Canada. We take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected wherever it is stored.
Who We Share It With
We share information only with service providers who help us operate The Read, including our hosting, database, and AI providers. These providers are bound to use your information only to deliver their services to us. We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing. We may disclose information if required by law.
Email Communications
If you provide your email address, we will only send you marketing or promotional messages with your consent, in compliance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe option. You can withdraw consent at any time.
How Long We Keep It
We keep diagnostic responses and contact information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above. If you ask us to delete your information, we will remove it from our active systems within a reasonable timeframe unless we are legally required to retain it.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Request corrections to inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete your personal information
- Withdraw consent to communications at any time
